Originally designed for the competitive HYROX team at S&T as a training basecamp, The Lab is outfitted with SkiErgs, rowers, sleds, treadmills, medicine balls, kettlebells and more, expertly designed to deliver demands of a HYROX competition with everything you need, and nothing you don’t.

WHAT IS HYROX?

HYROX is the world’s fastest-growing fitness competition. A HYROX race consists of eight stations of functional exercises with a one-kilometer run in between, all completed under the clock. It’s a race that’s demanding, gritty, and raw - designed to push the limits of stamina, speed, and strength - and The Lab is equipped to do just that.

WHERE IS THE LAB LOCATED?

The Lab is located on the Terrace Level at The Well (486 Front St. W), next door to REFORMD and just east of S&T. The closest escalator is by 8 Spadina, on the north-west corner of Front/Spadina.

HOW DO I BOOK A CLASS AT THE LAB?

You can book classes at The Lab in the S&T app by filtering for ‘The Lab: HYROX Training’ classroom under the Front/Spadina location. Book with an Unlimited membership, 9 to 5 Sweat membership, or one credit.

CAN I BOOK A CLASS AT THE LAB EVEN IF I'M NOT PARTICIPATING IN HYROX?

Yes - sessions at The Lab are open to all, whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for a fun challenge!

WHAT AMENITIES ARE AT THE LAB? ARE THERE WASHROOMS & LOCKERS?

Water, lockers, and towels are available at The Lab; washrooms, showers, and full facilities accessible at S&T.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

All you’ll need to bring is workout clothes (or come dressed ready for movement), running shoes, a water bottle, and we’ll do the rest!

CHECKING IN

If this is your first visit, please check in at the front desk. For all subsequent visits, you can check yourself in on the S&T app or with an attendant by the studio doors.

Self check-in opens 30 minutes before your class start time, and closes 5 minutes before the class starts.

We always recommend arriving for class early so that you have plenty of time to get ready. You must be present for your session if you've checked in.

LATE & CANCELLATION POLICY

Out of respect and safety for your fellow classmates and instructors, sessions start on time. Doors will open 5 minutes prior to the session start time, and will remain open for 2 minutes after the session starts. Once the studio doors close, any other latecomers will not be allowed in.

Be considerate of your Sweat Fam and do not take up spots in classes you are unable to attend. Only book sessions you intend to take to ensure all of our Sweat Fam have a chance to get in!

Please make sure to cancel your reservation at least 12 hours in advance, or you will lose your credit. This includes switching time slots under the 12-hour notice time period.

HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?

Our waitlist is designed to move quickly and ensures that guests who want to take a training session will have the best chance of getting in. As soon as a spot opens up, you will be automatically enrolled on a first come, first served basis, up to 10 minutes before session start time.

If you do not wish or intend to attend, we encourage you to remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid automatic enrolment and a penalty should you no longer be able to make it. You can remove yourself from the waitlist at anytime without penalty. Once you are enrolled, our standard no-show / late cancellation policy will apply. Removing yourself from the waitlist will allow other guests who are on the waitlist and able to make it to session the chance to get in.

I'M AN UNLIMITED MEMBER. CAN I USE MY GUEST CREDIT TO BOOK AT THE LAB?

Unlimited member guest credits are only valid for booking guests in group fitness classes (yoga, Pilates, HIIT, and ride classes).
