POOL DECK BOOKING

How does pool booking work?

As with fitness classes at S&T, you can book a spot at the pool deck through the S&T app or online. To book, first select 'Tonic Spa Pool Deck' in the location drop down. Unlimited members with a pool add-on and Club Transcend members will have unlimited access to book. Each pool session is 60 minutes and on a first-come first served reservation basis. Back-to-back consecutive sessions cannot be booked. Booking goes live on Saturdays at 5 PM.

What’s the difference between a Lane Swim and Free Flow booking?

There are two lanes available for individual reservation as 'Lane Swim' time slots. Each lane swim session is 60 minutes in total length and includes 30 minutes of a private lane followed by 30 minutes of general “free flow” access to the pool deck where you can enjoy general use of the hydrotherapy circuits. Please be sure to start your session in the reserved lane to maximize use of the lane and general facilities.

General “free flow” sessions are 60 minutes, where you can enjoy all facilities in the pool deck and hydrotherapy circuits. Free flow sessions provide access to a shared use pool lane.

Both booking types include full access to the pool deck offerings including saltwater lap pool, saltwater jetted hot tub, combined infrared & traditional electric sauna, rain showers, cold plunge showers, and all-season patio lounge.

Do I need to check in / check out?

Yes, all guests are required to check in and check out at the Tonic Spa front desk. Please check in at the Tonic Spa front desk to receive a robe and slippers, and to access the pool deck. The Sweat and Tonic locker rooms are available to store belongings and change before and after using the pool. Please ensure to leave the pool deck at the end of your 60-minute session. Late check-outs will be charged $15. Return your slippers and robe at the Tonic Spa front desk. Unreturned slippers will be charged $75. Unreturned robes will be charged $50.

If I can’t make it, do I need to cancel my booking?

This ensures spots are available for other Sweat Fam members to book and are not held by guests who are unable to attend. You will be charged a $18 fee for no shows and $15 for late cancellations. For sessions booked with credits, you will lose a credit.

Can I arrive late, or end my session early?

Are phones allowed on the pool deck?

No, the pool deck is a phone-free space to ensure that the privacy of all guests is respected and to help you be fully present for your time in this oasis. Your phone will also thank you, as most devices don’t love wet or hot spaces.

Can I bring food and drinks to the pool deck?

FACILITIES

The pool deck area includes a 50-ft saltwater lap pool, saltwater jetted hot tub, combined infrared & traditional electric sauna, rain showers, cold plunge showers, and all-season patio lounge.

Are there lockers and washrooms available in the pool deck?

The washrooms in Tonic Spa are available for pool deck guests. Pool showers are also available on the pool deck and all guests must shower before using any of the pool deck offerings. The locker and shower facilities in Tonic Spa are for guests who have booked a treatment at Tonic Spa only. Pool deck guests should use the Sweat and Tonic locker rooms adjacent to the Tonic Spa entry to store belongings, change, and shower with full amenities after using the pool.

What’s the recommended hydrotherapy circuit?

Hot and cold therapy is a three-step relaxation ritual. It’s recommended to start with 10-20 minutes in the hot tub or sauna as a source of heat. Step two involves immediately exposing your body to cold water. You can do this via the pool or regular shower for a lower intensity experience, or use the cold plunge shower button to experience a rainfall of 6 degree Celsius cold therapy. The cold plunge shower will run for 30 seconds, but you’re welcome to step out at any time. Step three is all about rest and relaxation. Unwind on the all-season patio for 10-15 minutes to allow your elevated heart rate to settle. We recommend some deep breaths and slow movements to maximize the physical and mental benefits of this relaxation circuit.

What temperature is the pool?

Our saltwater pool is kept at a temperature of approximately 30 degrees Celsius.

How large is the sauna?

The sauna is large enough to accommodate 20 people.

How hot is the sauna?

The sauna is a combination of traditional electric heat and infrared heat and will be anywhere between 60 - 90 degrees Celsius.

Can I use the Tonic Spa Lounge when I book the pool deck?

No, the Tonic Spa Lounge is reserved for guests who have booked a treatment at Tonic Spa only.

POOL DECK ETIQUETTE

01

Be safe

For the health and safety of yourself and other guests, follow all posted regulations throughout the pool deck facilities. If you feel unwell, notify a staff member or use the emergency phone on the pool deck for assistance.

02

Be kind

This is a shared space for the Sweat Fam. Keep voice levels to a whisper and respect the no-phone policy to ensure everyone can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing experience. Please be respectful of the people around you and help us collectively care for this wonderful place.

03

Be clean

Help keep our shared space in tip-top shape for all to enjoy. Upon arrival, shower before using any of the Pool Deck offerings. This helps to keep our facilities clean and maximize the benefits of the various stations available. When using the sauna, please put a towel down before you sit or lay on the benches. This helps to keep the sauna clean and protect the natural materials.

04

Be on time

Use the pool deck within your allotted time. You’re welcome to arrive anytime within your booking period, but please leave on time to allow our team to tidy before the next group arrives.

ARRIVING FOR YOUR SESSION

Arrive well hydrated and nourished - we do not recommend using the Hot & Cold Suite fasted or right after a heavy meal.

We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to your session to ensure a smooth check-in process. Please remember to shower before entering the suite to prepare your body for the thermal experience.

Our Wellness Concierge will escort you to the suite and provide a personalized overview of the session, including etiquette guidelines and a brief introduction to the facilities. If this is your first time, our team will offer tips on maximizing the benefits of the cold plunge and your overall experience! Our goal is to ensure that from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, every aspect of your visit is effortless and restorative.

Stay hydrated. Make sure to replenish your water and electrolytes more frequently when sauna bathing.
